A digital twin can be used in the virtual simulation to optimize the system design and estimate the discharge and performance. SIMPLY SAFE AND PRECISE

Mikado uses inverse kinematics to calculate the joint angles of the robot arm and its working paths. The robot, gripper and gripped part are fully collision-checked. This enables a 100% safe and collision-free workflow even in narrow working areas. After gripping the parts, you can move in the Mikado software in the part coordinate system and thus, no matter how the part was gripped, always deposit it in the exact position.

SIMULATION AS AN ENGINEERING AND SALES TOOL

Within a few hours, regardless of the robot model and the task, a simulation can be prepared for the customer in which customer-specific processes are demonstrated in a virtual environment. Simply upload CAD data and use the wizard to design the cell. This will convince your customer and save a lot of money for the optimization of hardware components and processes. Only when everything functions optimally in the simulation do you start the production of hardware components such as grippers or the robot cell.

For an automated assembly line, highly polished rotors had to be removed from a pallet bin. The parts are about the size of a fist and lie chaotically in the bin. Mikado finds the parts, checks for suitable gripping points and, in this case, moves a Kuka robot through the cell fully checked of collision by integrated path planning. There are two removal bays and the camera is moved back and forth using a linear axis.
